I say that like I would know. But I'm guessing they're about to take off.
This dress was inky black and so, impossible to capture detail, but the draping was lovely, so I took a shot of the back and front bodices, right before the security guard hustled me off the floor for taking pictures.
Below, a covetable aubergine leather biker jacket in size Negative 4. I intend to knock it off as soon as I get my Kenmore back in working order (it may just be a $3 fuse that's acting up; I have ordered them. But the next problem is how the hell do I crack the case to get the fuses where they need to be? They really do not want a body opening the computerized part of the machine.) (But then, they never saw me coming, either.).

I'm not crazy about the bracelet-length sleeves, to tell you the truth. Those might look pretty and feminine, but they're almost always irritating to wear: either too short or too long.
This is a leather bag that looks simple and chic. I have the leather; I just need to find a pellon that can make it nice and stiff like that.

I love the clasp, although not having a zipper in that big a bag makes you a prime target for pickpockets. I'd install a zippered lining or some little flap that folds over the opening. Something so that I don't have STEAL FROM ME, IT'S EASY stamped on my forehead.

I enjoyed these pics very much, thank you, the black dress is gorgeous!
I love the leather jacket. Can't wait to see your version!
And don't you love Europeans and their dogs? A terrier was licking my toes all last night while I was at dinner.
Thanks, you guys! That dress was so lovely - floaty and ethereal. I really want to take a draping class now. That damn Gertie got me thinking about it.
Oh, and isn't that jacket a stunner? It's such a classic fit--you could do it up as a straight biker jacket (which I covet), or in linen or a stiff silk for dinner out. Same pattern, entirely different results.
I forget who first came up with the biker-jacket form--was it Chanel? Is that possible?--but whoever it was was a genius.
I saw some pictures of some dress or top someone had made with external darts recently and I was thinking "omg, they really did not understand the instructions on whatever pattern they used". Hehe. Maybe they were just very fashion forward... :)
